Chancery Rosewood Commission - London, UK
I am delighted to announce a recently unveiled commission for the new Chancery Rosewood Hotel at Grosvenor Square in London within the historic former U.S. Embassy building. The Hotel's art collection, curated by my long-time clients and collaborators Cramer & Bell, consists of over 700 pieces of artwork and amounts to a significant new contemporary art collection located in the heart of London.

Cramer & Bell have been major supporters of mine in recent years with many private and corporate acquisitions, placements and completed commissions so it is an honour to have my work included within their largest project to date, and alongside a group of impressive British and international artists.
The commissioned painting was created in my Victoria, BC studio earlier this year and reflects my ongoing exploration of colour, memory, and the emotional resonance of natural spaces. Rosewood Hotel's 'Sense Of Place' philosophy drove the acquisition program and I'm pleased that my work, rooted in my connection to my own locale in western Canada, was an appropriate fit for the art program.
My work is entitled An Ambient Sojourn. It is part of the ongoing focus of my work in capturing the energy and connectivity between the community of flora and fauna in nature and its affect on us as we move through their environment. Installed in London ahead of the hotel’s opening and located in the lobby of the Grand Ballroom, the work is intended as a moment of reflection and calm within the grand setting of Grosvenor Square.

“To contribute a work of art to such an iconic building and to be part of a major new collection — and to know that it will meet viewers from all over the world — is both humbling and inspiring. I hope the piece offers a quiet pause for reflection for hotel and banquet guests.”
I was able to visit the hotel just a few days after it opened and seeing the work unveiled in its permanent home was an immensely rewarding experience.
